Parking sensor calibration?

Parking sensor calibration?
Someone said there were fewer posts recently. So here's one. I'm asking - and expecting the answer no - whether the parking sensor system is 'calibrated' in some way that would allow some sort of 'correction'/'adjustment'?
I noticed when I first got the car that my rear sensors acted differently from other Jags I've owned. Today though, I went to do my weekly supermarket shop and was reversing as usual into a parking space with those safety bollards at the back that you can't see in the mirrors. I backed up until the rear sensors went to continuous tone, pulled back another inch or so and then got out to inspect. The car was still a good foot away from the bollards and the nose was sticking out into the road.
Obviously better than the other way round, I know - but it can't have been designed that way, surely...
