passenger side washer not working!

Hi all,
Just took my 06 XK for its MOT and unfortunately failed because... the passenger side washer does not work!
On the driver side, it works so I assume the pump is working.
So obviously I need to book it so they can have a look but any suggestions of things I could try before?
They tried disconnecting the tube from the wiper blade but there's no water coming out of the plastic connector on the bonnet so its not blocked in the wiper blade.
They also tried inserting a little pin in the connector to see if it was blocked there but no success...
Must be something between the tank and the connector I imagine...
Any suggestions? Pretty frustrating to fail the control for that! 😤

Did further testing.
When I switch the wipers on, water is dripping under the car on the passenger side roughly at the door hinges level.
I removed the plastic cover that covers the fuse box in the engine compartment but that doesn't really allow me to see much of what is going on.
I suspect maybe the water tube taking water to the wiper blade is disconnected underneath but its very difficult to access without remove the plastic cover than runs at the bottom of the windscreen. Not sure how that is removed... any ideas?

Had that same issue with my ‘07 (USA) XK (so same year as yours) when I first got it.
There is a T connector that splits the flow from the pump to the two washer outlets. In my case, one of the outlet hoses had come disconnected from the T connector.
Unfortunately, that connector is under that plastic piece that runs along the bottom of the windshield. So you need to raise that piece to see under and reattach the hose. IIRC there was a press-fit panel connector on the vertical surface, holding the panel to the firewall (which I lost when I popped it off, and it fell down and ended up someplace where it gets hot, and continued to stink like burning plastic for many weeks
). The plastic panel is glued down to the windshield with that black goo used for mounting windshields, so carefully lift the piece to get access below it (when done, I just pressed it back down, didn’t add any additional goo).
When I reattached the hose, I put a small hose clamp on each hose connected to the T, to prevent any future disconnects. I had some small plastic hose clamps from a drip irrigation system that worked just fine. Some little zip ties would also work.
Good luck!

Yes the 2 side panels- one over the cabin air filter and one over the brake master cylinder are the easy to remove twist out clips. Those are the panels indicated in the color photos. The plenum chamber panel is the one shown in the black and white diagram. It's covering the area at the base of the windshield under the wiper arms. The wiper arms come off almost as easy as the air intake cover (cabin air filter cover) and the brake master cylinder cover. The plenum chamber panel is another thing. The clips holding it are very elusive.

Check the hose connections, they are white things that connect all the hoses together and they break.
The bad news is that you can't go to Jag and buy just that little part, you have to buy the whole assembly, and here in the US that runs to around $250 because a ten cent part failed.
When I get time Im gonna see if I can do a repair with a piece of hose and a few jubilee clips.
Being the owner of a classic highly prestige vehicle.....the breakers yard is your best friend. I have one near me who has me on speed dial.....lol.

Thanks all for all the very helpful info.
I'll have another look at lifting that panel. So if I understand I need to remove the screen wipers too? Hopefully that's not too tricky... 😬
I wouldn't bother honestly if that didn't fail the MOT in the UK!!! 😤😤😤 (especially since its on the passenger side!)

You do have to take the wipers off. They are pretty easy to remove. The cowl - at least the one on my '07 - is glued to the windscreen on one side, and the other has a single 'clip' that runs nearly the entire length of the cowl and slots into a groove. It lifts out perpendicular to the windscreen. I figured that out the hard way, after I broke it. It's an expensive piece of plastic, by the way.
