Pedal Problems

Hello readers, I just enrolled to this forum, and wondered if anyone else had found a similar problem with their 07 XKR. Twice now, when parking, I've hit both the brake and gas pedal- with unpleasant results. In my long life of motoring, and over 100 different cars (yes ,really), this has never occured before, and I don't think I've reached the stage of diminished responsibility just yet. Could it just be that the pedals are too close for a standard size 9? Picked the car up from the paintshop yesterday, and the bruised nose of my Botanical Green convertible is back to gleaming perfection. Apart from this , I am enjoying the car, and maybe need to use it a little more. I'm lucky to have two American 60's full size classics, and a Dodge Magnum in glowing red for daily use, and thankfully have no problems parking these next to my unforgiving garage walls. Alan. (UK)

I'm nowhere near your 100 different cars, my count is about 45. The only detrimental pedal situation I've ever had is in a Drag Car I built. I made the brake pad too large so I just hacked off the accelerator side of it and GTG.
I've never had a problem with my XKR and I've got some size 12s.
... are you SURE there isn't an inkling of dementia starting?

I'm in the LHD complainer category.
The actual problem is the accelerator pedal offset,
and hanging the toe on obstructions when trying
for the throttle. The opposite of what you have.
It helps on the LHD X308 to trim the heating duct just above
the accelerator pedal. It's only plastic so it can be trimmed
easily with a hacksaw blade, mirror and flashlight.

briggal, you could super glue one of your shoes on the brake pedal, just slip in and out when needed
