Pic of my 07 that just got delivered!
Hey everyone, purchased a 01 XKR about a year and a half ago and have been itching for a 07 or newer. Lots of looking but nothing super nice. I found this one owner, (Lady owned),with it's life in Texas. Pretty much flawless with 54000 miles. I'm very happy with the purchase.
Only flaw is the leather in the pic, and I'm looking for suggestions.
I'm not a great fan of powder coated wheels but this is so clean I don't really mind. Stacey

Welcome to the forum! Lots of great people with deep experience and good ideas for solving problems.
I can't tell where exactly your leather issue is, but there are many threads in the forum on leather problems. Here is just one - https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...pulling-51324/

Recent 2007 XK Sale
Congrats on your purchase. You are guaranteed to have loads of fun!!! I don’t know what you paid, but yesterday, on B.A.T. a 2007 XK Coupe with 20,000 miles sold for $21,750. That site does bring strong prices, but it just shows that low mileage pristine XKs can bring high prices. Enjoy your car. You’re going to love it!

Very nice.
I'm not too keen on black wheels either. When I bought an ealier car with chrome wheels in the ad, the nice seller put new tires on and had the wheels redone because the chrome was not good. He did all that at his expense and without me knowing. I would SO have preferred a silver paint on the wheels, but he didn't ask...

BAT is an on-line auction site. There are hundreds of collector type vehicles available on it on a daily basis. Perhaps the best thing about it are the people who are regular visitors to the site buyers and observers alike. You can get an education about most of the cars that are for sale on it.

As BAT has moved upscale, they're spending less time on lower priced cars. After all, they take a percentage.
I joined them when bringing a trailer was actually done. Now, it's rare unless the target is a rare barn find. They actually don't even list non-R XK's any longer, at least according to their history listings.
I bought my XK on https://carsandbids.com/. Essentially identical to BAT, but still focused on the tier below super highend. Yes, occasional Ferraris and so forth, but also jeeps and fords. Prices tend to be more realistic. By the way, mine had no surprises, since seller included extensive photos and all historical records in the auction. I personably wouldn't buy an auction car without records. YMMV, of course.
