No as in my previous thread i bought a cheap davico and replaced the cat. I kept the cat and scoped it but you are right voukd have done this installed through the 02. I think my cat is perfectly good except for that rope insulation that has came loose and when running is blowing like crazy blocking air. I see some shiny pieces as well but think its reflections of a some of the catalytic crap. I advise before getting a new cat check this out. I am saving it snd will get it cut open and fixed.

No and unfortunately it happened just before Xmas so I got my mechanic to gut both cats otherwise the car would have been off the road for a week or two and I had visitors coming to stay.
The car was stupidly loud without them and the exhaust fumes permeated everything so I spent the next year or so trying different combinations of sports cars and intermediate mufflers to try and get rid of the rasp and drone.

FYI, I run 200 cell davicos. Coupled with the stock exhaust system, it sounds great. Really! Louder, throatier (lol), grumblier(lmao).
I did have the exhaust fuse removed but elected to put it back in. Reason being its fun for the short drives... and terribly annoying on the long drives.
I did call davico to confirm my order. This was years ago, now.
fwiw.
