Has anyone have a truffle interior seems very very rare

Yeah, my car has the truffle interior. Under the right light, it can look really deep and rich but can also look a bit washed-out under bright sun with the top down. I do like the subtle contrast stitching on it and am happy with it overall, but I think it would be more suited to a lighter-colored car where it would have more contrast. From what I've read, truffle was one of two non-standard color options available that year, the other being a dark navy blue with orange contrast stitching. A couple of indoor and outdoor pics:
I didn't recall seeing many XJ's in front of the Hippodrome during my various visits to London back in the 80's. Then again the viewings inside were priceless. I thought the lifting stage was pretty cool and you met all kinds on the dance floor. Funny my old workmate still couldn't determine the sex of our waiter/waitress person. Had some good times there.
Plenty of them across the street at Peter Stringfellow's real nightclub Stringfellow's. Only once did I get in there (followed Peter in there pretending to be part of his entourage, while I was asking him for a job- lol) Rod Stewart, Prince Charles, beauty and elegance, absolutely none of that too 'old to be here' stupidity.
Pictures tell the story. Included one from 1981, can you imagine a 'old guy' like Marvin Gaye these days singing about sexual healing- he would wind up with Bill Cosby as a guest of the State.
(famous English actor)
I believe thats a XJ

Its the stupidity of corporate America- they want to market to kids, i.e a demographic that has no money, no dress sense nor any time. While those with money, time and the need to rekindle passions are being put out to pasture. Sacrilege.
Its long been known as the Achilles heel of the West; to discard their most experienced. Look at Japan they had the wisdom of creating a class of woman specifically for the intellectual mature male- the Geisha.
I mean, Im over 40. I still get out though. Sure, its odd if you go to an 18 and over joint, but if you have a grip on not trying to look young, you are actually at the top of the food chain. In your prime! 18-30s is not your prime. 40-68 is primo age. At 69 you better have your health in check by being active, And being cool. As long as were not all wearing fedoras at a group outing,Im sure this motley crew will do alright out in the wild. Now about that truffle interior, I do love the way it looks!
Why do so many car manufacturers give an exotic name to a base colour? Is this not brown?
Jaguar does it to accurately describe the effect.
Is it milk chocolate brown or dark chocolate brown. Or UPS brown.
I too thought it a gimmick at first.
Till I gave some thought to my ebony paint- there is no better way to describe it. Its definitely not black, its an almost black grey, just like the ebony keys on a piano.
A very rich look to the trained eye, which I was not in the beginning.
Two thoughts:
- I LOVE this interior color, especially with the lunar grey. I think you've got a gorgeous car. I actually think the "Truffle" interior would work well with a lot of colors.
- In terms of the age thing, is anyone here UNDER 40? Doubt it. For the most part, we're in an Old White Guy Bubble on this forum. (Kind of like flying First Class, at least Domestic. )

Has anyone seen the thread below, the Ferrari for sale.
The interior really makes me appreciate a jaguar no matter the color.
What a horrible space to be in. Its like a Mazda from the previous decade.
