Not I. I have a Subaru Outback for that, and my wife has a Jeep. The XK is strictly a fun car.

Brian appreciate that most of the posters are stateside, where multiple car ownership is more common.

By way of example 91% of households have access to a vehicle in the US with an average of 1.7 vehicles owned per household

In the UK 83% of households have more than 1 car, which is significantly lower

Am happy to use it as my daily driver, but for the following I use my mini SUV

Trips to the tip (although get some stares when I take the jag!)
Garden centre runs
Commuting to/from and to other locations for work*

Good luck for Monday!!

* I work with the elderly so me turning up in a thundering V8 looks like I'm embezzling money from old ladies

Au contraire! Your Jaguar is a rolling advertisement for your services - the male equivalent of a Cougar!

You may be aging Mark prematurely. I thought a Cougar was an older woman going after younger men. If Mark's clients are "old ladies" he would have to WAY old, and I'm guessing he's not.

I use mine as a sometimes-daily driver, as since I'm retired and also have an F150 plus wife's RX, and two other Mustangs to go fast and wrench on.
I do drive my XKR to visit people and family. And go to the store on nice days. I also go gallivanting sometimes just cuz.
No need to baby it or have it an A-to-A car. Go A-B-C...... up to Z44 if you want.

Our XK has been a daily driver for the 4 years we have owned it, although our usage has slowed down a bit. One persons daily driver may be 20,000 miles a year, in our case I bought the XK for the Wife who retired early several years back and because of this we only log 2,000 to 3,000 miles per year. Seems that not commuting to an office really pulls the average down! I also use the XK liberally, but I have always worked from home so that means occasional use to a restaurant, or store, and daily to the gym. Depends on the weather, the thing about me paying for all car expenses is that we don't do like some of my couple friends, they don't share cars at all and are territorial about their vehicles. We use whatever is available and fits the environmental conditions (nice day vs rainy). If I ran off with the XK Mrs. Tampamark just uses the SUV.

We owned a Porsche Boxster, then a BMW 650, now an XK. The Porsche was solid through the 9 years, the BMW was a fluid leaking POS but an absolute great car to drive so no regrets, the XK has been flawless!

Many Thanks for your replies. Monday will tell a story after viewing. Pros - colour, sports exhaust, black & speed packs, seats. Cons - lack of service history, price, number of previous owners.

I have been driving Jags for over 30 years, four with V12 engines and four with V8s, and each one has been a daily driver.

I have had my '10 XKR for just over 3 years now and had an '07 XKR for 5 years before that and no major issues to report over and above their usual weaknesses, water pump, super charger coupling, etc.

I have been driving Jaguars as daily drivers since 1974. Including three XJ12's, two XJS's, two XJR's, and three X150's to NA and one R. All as daily drivers and other than the 74 XJ12L all have been just as or more reliable than my exe's Mercedes. MY second and last spouse has had to Lexus and an Audi over the last twelve years and they are/were about as reliable as the X150's.
