Default Possible starter failure?

Hello All,

Ive gone to start my XKR to take for its annual MOT and its failed to start. I get a clicking noise as if the starter is trying to bring the cat to life. Ive checked the battery and plugged it into my CTEK, all fully charged. The issue is still there, does this sound like starter failure?

Check cable integrity and tightness of connections at the BJB (Battery Junction Box):

Clicking suggests the Starter Motor isn't dead.

Thank you! All appears in tact with no obvious signs, I guess the next step is replacing those mega fuses?

If the fuse had blown you'd have no signs of life at the Starter Motor. With the BJB connection good and tight, check the other end at the Starter Motor for the same.

Even though you believe the battery to be good and fully charged, a jump with another using the emergency connection studs could be worth a try. The negative jump start connection is a stud located in the spare wheel well.

Sounds like the starter solenoid doesn't have enough power to push the starter gear to contact the 12V power cable. Test the battery

Maybe hit solenoid gently with hammer if long time since last time. Preferably while it's trying to engage
