Default Power Supply recommendations for 07 XK when using SDD

Wondering if any particular power supply recommendations for when using SDD to flash modules? It’s for on a 2007 XK. Thanks in advance

Here's a self built one. I use this and its plenty of rock solid 12-13.5 vdc. Ignore the shunt, meter and switch -- the narrator is a german engineer who believes in doing the best possible job, but you don't need it. Just put the resistors (they reset the voltage to about 13.5 or so) in the right place, attach the cables and you're set.

And if you serch SDD power supply you find others.

OR, get a 40 Amp battery charger and call it good. You can always use it everywhere as a battery charger.

It's important the power's clean and filtered, low ripple, etc. Noisy cheap power supplies can affect module flashing integrity. Jaguar recommend 50 amps but for the 2007, even 25-30 amps would be sufficient.

While flashing modules and such, my pre-battery required was at maximum 35 amps. A person could probably run SDD with a 30 amp for a couple hours before it became an issue.
Also, going through a battery, the battery IS the filter. It takes out all the buzz and fluctuations out of even a cheap charger. Of course the battery has to be in decent condition regardless.

I did extensive research on this many years ago and according to JLR engineers as well as professional tune writers and other engineers, this is not true, a premium low noise, low ripple, fully regulated, switching power supply IS MANDATORY which's why they recommend brands like Midtronics.
