Bottom line..your money! I would get an INDY, one who is certified on Jags, and let him look. If he finds any discrepancies, then let him document them and bring them to the dealer...just my 2 cents.

I bought my XKR from the same dealer in GA that I bought my STR from....reason being they sold me a good car the first time, was honest and stood behind their cars. A full year after I bought my XKR, the AC went out and the dealer in GA...Northpoint Jaguar, paid my dealer in AZ to replace the compressor...which was not under warranty...they stood behind the car they sold me... That's what I call customer service...or above and beyond. I will by my next Jag from them. Consider that...and again, your money..you have the right to check and be sure.

Default Bought it!

Sorry for the delay everybody! I bought it on Friday afternoon at Morris County / Madison Jaguar.I'm thrilled and feel very privileged to own such a beautiful car at 29 and hope to have her in the garage for years to come! The power is incredibly intoxicating and I just realized I'll have to budget for speeding tickets and tires! Here are some pics of her and I'll be sure to get more soon once she's all cleaned up.Name: 20160513_183151_zps59ipptin.jpg

She's beautiful. Enjoy!!!

Man you are spot on about the speeding tickets. I find myself always pushing the needle. It never feels like I'm going as fast as I am. Of course, when my wife's with me, I have two speedometers in the vehicle.

Looks great! Wish these cars had been around when I was 29! (and if I had the funds to afford it then).

So did you trust the dealer in the end......or did you take it to the independent shop.

That was the subject and thrust of this thread.

Perhaps you can lend some insight on your final decision.

The car looks BEAUTIFUL. Great color combination.

Enjoy.

I did not trust the dealer in the end. I took the car to a Jag specialist in Flemington, NJ after I didn't get a good vibe from the dealer. Supposedly prior to me picking up the car to take it for the PPI, Madison Jaguar did (who knows really) a 165 point inspection. My indy found that the battery was original, failed a load test, and found multiple computer errors. Aside from this, the car was still dirty (exterior and interior ) when I picked the car up. Overall the whole process in dealing with Madison was very disappointing. I'm going to do a full write up on a new thread with pics and a full review of Madison Jaguar.

Get this, to top off my disappointing experience with Madison, when I took delivery of the car and got home, I went to plug the car in (had dealer installed Ctek charger from previous owner) it was gone! I spoke with the salesman and asked if their service depot removed it and he's checking into it. He also said, maybe th indy took it? Oh brother.....

Welcome aboard, too bad you had to work with not up to par dealer. Good thing you went through with the PPI. Were you able to resolve all of the issues with Madison to your satisfaction?
