Default Problems starting?

This is the 4th time it's happened to me. The car just won't start. There's power, the lights go on, and all of that, but the engine won't kick over and start up.

Was stranded last night and had to call roadside assistance. Tried to use the shift override to put the car into neutral but of course with my luck the small piece of plastic the red strap was wrapped around snapped off after a tug. Guy ended up having to drag the car onto the flatbed, hitting the front/bottom of the car, and then scraped the exhaust pipes in the back when he dropped it off.

For ***** and giggles I tried to start the car up again after he left, since no one was at the dealer, and it started right up. I didn't wanna leave the car there since I would have been stranded again for another hour.

Long/pointless story over...has anyone had these problems before? Like I said it's happened several times before. The last time it happened at the house, I just locked the car, walked away for 5 mins, came back and it started. I figured that might work again but didn't, even after about 15 attempts

Also, would the towtruck server be responsible for the dmg, or am I screwed because the car started and I didn't leave it. I plan on calling the dealer on Monday when service is open and will have them look it the starting problem regardless, just wondering if any of you geniuses had any input.

How do you usually start your car? Foot on brake, then press start? If so, try it the other way - press start button first, then depress brake pedal.

My LS460 works the other way around - must press brake BEFORE pressing start; won't start if you press start before brake.

Let us know if this helps.
