I am a proud owner of a XK since a few months and still have 6 months warrenty on it.
I have two problems with the car that the dealer can't find. The first one is once a day when the car is cold and i start it up. I set it in to drive and let it roll and then push the gaspedal slightly.. what happens then is that the car holds in.. and stutters a little? Like the gas can't go anyware.. When i push the gaspedal a little more it's true it's dead point and the car performs normal? And this is only when the car is cold.
Now the second thing i suddenly had a few days ago is this: I drove for like 20 min and stopt the car.. locked it with the button (pressed it one time) after 5 min i came back. open my door directly with my hand and suddenly no power at all! nothing worked anymore. the key didn't react only the button to make the lights go on worked... Then suddenly after 10 min or so, after pressing the lock and unlock button on the key again the car reacted??
I hope somebody has the solution for this. It would be very helpful.
Sorry for my not perfect english i'm from the Netherlands

#2 is interesting. These cars use a data bus for one module to talk to another. Voltage / current spikes creates havoc with the signal which is why the battery suggestion. Still a ton of possible things to look at. Mostly wiggling wires and connections while the electronics are acting up.

With the ignition in the off position, the voltage across the battery terminals should be a minimum of 12.5 volts. If not, the battery should be replaced. A weak or failing battery can cause all sorts of mysterious electrical faults.

Good point. Could be the OP has a classic case of not driving it enough or no aux charger for while it sits. That would also exacerbate the drive ability problems.
