"Proper" Wheel Center Cap and Locking Lug Nut Position
At the risk of starting a minor (or major, who knows?) debate, is there a common (in general) agreement of the clocked position of the Cat on the center wheel caps? Facing towards valve stem, away from valve stem, etc... Same question for the position of the locking wheel nut... This may be a "Nibs" or "****" debate but thinking it's better to ask more questions, and be less certain. Don't want to be that guy with a great car, but without a clue. Thanks for your insight and opinions.
P.S. I understand this an appearance issue and nothing to do with performance. Just sayin'

I did consider "floating" wheel caps but thought that was going too far:

I only started positioning the centre caps when I had an XK8 with Sepang split rim alloy wheels. There is no visible valve on these and the blanking plug (left) looks much like the other rim bolts. It has to be removed and a valve extension (right) screwed in to inflate the tyre:
Having the centre cap aligned was a quick and easy method of finding the blanking cap.

My 2011 and 2013 XKRs when new came with the crawler facing the valve stem and my current 2014 is the same--this is the factory setting. Only the person who installed the wheel caps and maybe .01% of owners would notice this. I always looked for it when I was shopping for my 2014 last year to show if the wheels were repaired or tires have been changed from new. I was shopping for a new as I could find XKR dynamic R, convertible, unmolested XKR with extremely low mileage in perfect condition--a very hard find today and will get even harder to find.

Why only change the center caps. Go all the way, ground effects, change front growler badge also (nice Rudolph LED look), dice from rear view mirror, and **** carpet on the dash, LOL. Please don't do this to an Jaguar XKR.

LOL, I love this...
But I am surprised that @GGG is so wrong. The 'chin' of the Jaguar belongs facing the valve ;-)

I'll give myself a One Day Ban for inappropriate behaviour and spend the time taking the wheels off and on to rotate the caps.
