That's only if the valve is at the 12:00 position.

Not with new OE caps. They are a very tight fit.

I've tried aftermarket ones before. The lugs are a much softer plastic and some of them can even be rotated with a suction cup.

Agree. The eBay caps are garbage. You get what you pay for. They look great when new but fade quickly and the fit is not consistent. My first set lasted 2 years before the red faded. Second set are a loose fit. Next I'll be getting OEM BUT those spinners look cool. About the same price as OEM. I wonder what the quality is?

Also, I got my OEM caps off from the front using dental floss.

Replaced front brake disks and pads this weekend and took the opportunity to align the Centre Caps as discussed above:




Looking at the photo, I think I've got them 2 degrees off vertical.

I'm glad to have read this thread. It will be at least another month before I'll be allowed physically to do the wheel change to summers but intend to employ proper centers orientation then.
