I the have the Jaguar Logo "puddle lights" installed in the door jambs on both the driver and passenger side doors. They look great and are an easy DIY install. You must drill holes in the very bottom of the door jamb.
I am available to answer any questions that you might have.
They look great. They are a nice, ultra low priced mod to any Jaguar branded vehicle.

The ones in the mirror are a Jaguar option, I think with the Technology Package. I'm sure there's a way to put them on a car without, but I don't know the specifics.
They only illuminate when the car is unlocked with the Smart Key, and it's just a normal spread of light, no logo.
The logo lights I got several years ago, but haven't been able to find the white leaper with red lettered "JAGUAR" since. The all white version is still out there.
Really bad picture of the mirror lights, from underneath the mirror facing upward...

Modify puddle lights
I JUST received some Jaguar puddle lights that I ordered on Ebay. These are the wireless battery operated ones (I wanted to avoid the wiring and drilling). They look great and appear to work BUT I may have to tinker with the positioning to get it to work properly. It came with double-sided tape so it doesn't really stick to the door as the inside is carpeted. There are not many options on where to put them so I may have to come up with an optional way to adhere it to the door and the metal strike plate.
I'll let you know how it all works out.

@shemp, I had the same problem....found out the function was "turned off" in the CCF. Your dealership should be able to turn them back on. Of course not all dealers are created equal, mine tried two times and couldn't do it so I took it to an indi shop instead. Good luck.
Thanks for the info, I'll look into it.
