Pulled the trigger - Picking up 08 XK on Wed
Got a great deal, am exchanging my 2007 Z06 for this 08 XK and $1000 cash back. It's a gift for my wife. I figured I'd take advantage of the C6 Z06 market now before the C7 comes out in 18 months or so and the bottom falls out of the Corvette values.
Auto Showcase of Carol Stream - 2008 Jaguar XK CONVERTIBLE LUXURY - Carol Stream, Illinois
This car screams JAGUAR it's so classic and timeless.
Miles are a little high but its still under warranty until mid Nov so I should be able to give it a good shake down before then. I did get the dealer to install new brake pads.
Based on the photo's and description what are your opinions plus any tips to look for. BTW I bought my Z06 from them and you can buy a car sight unseen from these guys without fear.

Beautiful car tom, congrats! those newer xk features are really growing on me. Unless mine explodes or is totaled, however, I'm going to keep my 03 probably forever.
^07xk, I usually don't like the green, but when the finish is polished as deep and dark as yours is, I actually admire it. It looks great. Is it the Botanical Green or Emerald?

Congrats! That dealer is 10 min away from me. There was also a red XKR down the streat at Chicago Motorcars on North Ave........when I was there a few weeks ago looking at some ACR Vipers and GTRs.
I did the same with my C5....sold it a year (2003) before the C6 came out in late 2004. Did you hang out with the Chicago Crew on the CF? That was alot of fun with Slammed Vette, ZX100, Vettewrench, ChasC5, Yerf Dog, O-Ace, Admiral Blue, Intel55, Truck Guy, Jimmy (Mopar Jimmy), Stillcrazee, Just J, CObrien....and alot more I can't remember the names. Alot of them don't have Vettes anymore and now there are alot of new blood. It was fun hanging out on weekend during the summer with the CF Chicago crew with BBQ, D&B, Hooters and other hangouts. Also...alot of fun modifying the heck out of the C5.
The XK Vert looks great....congrats again!

Tom, congrats. Great looking XK! It's Zaino time for you. You'll find the paint on the Jag is not soft like the Vette's and I believe the quality overall is much better. I know how well your Z06 looked and your new Jag will look just as great as that green will pop.
Best of luck with your new ride.
