I don't know about your year but these are not the same OEM caps as on my 2012. On the chrome outside border should have the word JAGUAR written.

Thanks Jagtoes. I've had the 05 SV8 and my current 07 XK, neither had Jaguar imprinted on the chrome so my guess is I've never owned OEM. My guess is these aren't either given the price but I don't know.

Anyway, they're on order and time will tell if they weather fade. Anything's better than what I have now.

I think the OEM ones are around $30 each . Lets see them when you get them installed.

I bought some red wheel centers on Ebay a couple of months ago for about $18. I installed them on 1/26/17. the seemed to fit a little loose. On the other hand they are still there and I have had no difficulties with them since. As Richzak said, I would stay away from the stickers.

I bought replacement genuine jaguar caps for my '07 XKR. The new caps have the new Jaguar font but other than that they are identical. I did not want to go the aftermarket sticker route, but the genuine ones cost a pretty penny!

Well the ones that were on the car were not OEM. No markings on the backside. Growler is a different shape. I have no idea if they're OEM. They come in the Jaguar package as you saw on the link. Here are the tags on the inside. Very slightly loose. OEM or not, I'm happy, but of course, anything is a step up from what I had. $30 a pop for original is nuts in my book if OEM are plastic. If I get a couple of years out of these, it will be worth it. I'm not shooting for Concours de"elegance.

If I recall on my 07, the OEM were plastic in construction but the facing was imprinted metal adhered to it.

I bought china replacements (black) that look fine, but as stated did have a loose fit.

1st time I autocrossed the XK, the two fronts vanished. I just put a little electrical tape inside the rim, and things have stayed snug since.

Ah thanks for the clarity. No Metal on these. At least that explains the price gap. I'm already on the tape addition too. Thanks

These go well with my Radiance Red exterior. It was dark in the garage when I took the picture, and my kitty is still hibernating.

As stated before, got them at:

I too was thinking of changing my center wheel caps which I know are original as the car had 4,800 miles when I purchased it from the original owner. I don't want s..t and take pride in my car and am willing to pay for the OEM caps. Are we talking about $120 for 4 plastic caps? I'll go there if it's the real deal and my caps are not loose or going to start fading. I've read about replacing the front badge but that seemed to be a procedure. Has anything changed with replacing the front badge? Can the OEM center caps be purchased for under $120? Also, I assume the center caps just pop off and are replaced easily.. yes? Thanks all.

Those retro center caps were fitted by the factory only to the US-Spec 4.2L XKR Portfolio models for 2008 and 2009. The letters were painted black for 2008 and red for 2009. Here's mine:

Can the center caps be replaced without removing the tires?

yea. I used a tiny eyeglass screwdriver to pry a side out, then a plastic trowel to pop the rest out. I bet some dental floss would get behind it too.....

I use a thin blade knife and it pops out with no damage. That's how the kids steal them.

Update on the center cap debacle while reviving an old post. The ones I bought off eBay are at the end of their useful life at just about 2.5 years. The red is 100% gone on one and about 70% gone on the other three. I stopped using wheel cleaner and just use car wash soap to clean the wheels so they are just garbage as Cambo mentioned. So what do I do? I buy another set off eBay for $25 this time. they were listed with the JLR part number with the logo so I thought they might be genuine. Fooled! They look ok, Some light scratches and one was bent a little from shipping BUT they flop around inside the wheel center! I complained and the seller gave me a refund so I figured I'd put some electrical tape on them to make a tighter fit for now. That seemed to work but overall, it's the same crap I had before. I'll keep these for a while since they were free but next time around I'll shell out the $30 each for the genuine OEM caps. Live and learn (or live, not learn, then learn in my case )

Red face

I have 4 different sets of the Chinese center caps, red growlers, green growlers, "R" and the traditional logo. I sprayed all of them with clear acrylic and haven't had any fading yet. I took a heat gun and spread the tabs on all of them to hold tighter. I rotate them to suit my mood.

I was thinking about doing that as well. Maybe some Rustolium clear? I have some 2K clear but would hate to use a whole can on just the caps as the 2k only lasts a few days if that once you mix it up.

Mine say made in Italy but who knows really.... and my tabs were too long. just about 1-2mm but that is enough to have them flop around.
