Any southern Californians planning on attending the Queen's English Car Show at Woodley Park in Van Nuys. Several of us forum members are meeting there on Sunday morning about 8:30am. If you're interested in meeting us and being in our own little "corral," send me or Tirefriar a message. Always a nice turnout. Google Queen's English car Show for registration form and info.

At least three of us are going to be parked together, George (Tirefriar) in his XJR, Tom in his XJ8, and me in the XKR convertible. Pm me or George and we'll give you cell phone numbers and maybe we can all meet. George and I are meeting for breakfast at Denny's around the corner at Burbank and Sepulveda between 6:30 and 7:00, if you'd like to join us.

As per organizers, the cars will be let on the grass starting at 8 am. Tberg and I are planning to get together for breakfast at Denny's on Burbank and Sepulveda, minutes from the Woodley Park. Everyone is welcome to come along. I hope this link takes to the location info: Denny's - 5525 N SEPULVEDA BLVD in Sherman Oaks, California - Location Map and Driving Directions
See you all there. BTW, it will be a perfect opportunity to discuss any plans for May 5th at Supercar Sunday event - they will be honoring British motor cars.

Just got back home from the Queen's English Car Show in Woodley Park in Los Angeles. A terrific turnout of cars and Jaguar Forum members, including Tirefriar, SableCat, SeismicGuy, and me, tberg as well as several others. There were some extraordinary cars as well as Jay Leno and one of his restorations. Below are some images:

Jay is very friendly & approachable. Talks to everyone. I saw him near a beige xke series 1.5 talking to the owner. A great ambassador for the car collecting/restoration hobby.

Although I didn't see Jay until he was driving out toward the front gate where I was, I have seen him many times in many different cars, and he seems to always be friendly and approachable. There is an automotive bookstore in Burbank which he frequents, and I've run into him there on occasion including a couple of months ago when he drove his huge steamer into the parking lot.
