Been thinking of buying quick jacks as well. Watch Costco, they'll be on sale again.

I'd love something like that but storage would be an issue for me. My solution was to get some 9" x 1.5" boards and cut them into 18" lengths. I then screwed 4 of them together to make a solid block and did the same with another 2 boards. I jack the car up a corner at a time and then I have the option to raise the car 6" or an additional 3" for a total of 9". Given the bottom of the car is 6" off the ground, I can get a maximum lift of 15" between the ground and the bottom of the car. It cost me about $20 and each piece is light enough to carry easily.

My 7000 works good inside the garage for my XK or outside for jobs that won’t fit in the garage. 👍

I'd really like a Quickjack but I am struggling with just having too much 'stuff' right now. I need to make a concerted effort to lighten my load. Could be the incentive I need. Maybe.

Do they fold low enough to be stored under the car? That would be ideal when having limited storage.

Yes they do. Just need to be careful not to trip over them when the car is not in the garage.

Excellent! That's a winner system. Although I have a two post MaxJax lift, The quick Jack could be useful too for oil changes for the Jag and daily driver. My Mustang takes up the MaxJax area.

Thanks. You can’t tell with the Weber fender covering the the grill, it’s actually, a May built 1964.
Many refer to the early Mustangs as 64.5s even though they are registered as 65s.

That's a great system, Ken. I'm trying not to get too involved in maintenance equipment, but you guys are a bad influence. Are the 2 post jacks really safe?

Yes of course they are. You need solid concrete for the post bolts. I don't like them for three reasons (not safety related).
1- I only have 12 ft ceilings in my garage. I'm 6'3" so I don't want to be hunched under a car while working it.
2 - 90% of what I do is from top or side anyway. So mid lift works better for me.
3- I guarantee I will ding my damn car door on the posts every single time I open it. Always have so I assume I always will.
