Radiator fans and Check pedestrian system / front parking sensors

Hi, I have a Pedestrian Warning so I have just got an iCarsoft LR2 but I'm not clear on which option it is. Looks like it should probably be ICS (Impact classification system). Can you confirm please?

Icarsoft 2
Hi any luck with the scanner? I have just got the icarsoft 2 scanner myself & have the same pedestrian warning light on . Any information on how to find the code would be much appreciated.
thanks dave

Yes, this is where I have got to so far. I have shown the full sequence in case it is of interest to others. You can see DTC B1004 - right impact sensor on the 10th image. Like apparently many non-SDD systems the last two digits are not shown so there is no information as to the exact fault and B1004 has about 8 sub-codes ranging from various shorts, no/erratic signal etc. Reading the data stream though (15th image) shows the right sensor to be slightly higher resistance compared to the left sensor so my next step will be to clean up contacts then if that doesn't rectify it then replace sensor (or the pair) but as others have commented that this required nose-cone removal on supercharged models I am manfully putting the job off until it stops raining and warms up a bit (the XK8 is hogging the garage space without a serpentine belt so can't move her yet). I'll report progress back here as and when. Glad I bought the LRII though

I had the same issue with the pedestrian sensor.. the readout for me was:
B100431 - Right pedestrian protection accelerometer - No signal
B100496 - Right pedestrian protection accelerometer - Component internal failure
While Jaguar quoted me over $2000, a local mechanic managed to swap the sensors from another car and only charged me $60.

Well, the contact cleaning didn't cure the problem as it came back about four days later. Fortunately I had already decided to acquire a replacement sensor which cost the princely sum of $20. Over a week later and no faults, see the whole story here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...t-67933/page2/. Oh! I did not have to remove the nose-cone, only the radiator shroud.

Just a final report to close off - still no impact system DTC's. Thanks to GGG who has pointed out that if you buy a new single-hole sensor you have to drill a new hole and that may well mean nose-cone removal to get clearance for the drill.
Disclaimer: a $20 sensor off a wreck is a bit of a gamble and it may only have a partial life left but if you choose carefully and avoid front-enders you may get a few (or more) trouble-free years.
