Is there a way to test a radiator once it's off the car, for a leak? I was told by a shop that mine was leaking at the neck of the upper hose. You could a small amount of coolant gunk but as most of you know you can't see that area very well. Yesterday I pulled the radiator and thought I would see a build up of coolant but I didn't. Wouldn't there be a build up of coolant where the hairline crack was? If not, is there a way to test it without it being on the car?

Shemp, Bill's is where I took it. Right when I walked into the back the guy said "yep it's bad." Besides it leaking there is also signs of rust so he said I need to flush my system. This will be my first time to flush an coolant system but since I have the radiator off I'm figure it will be easy. If anyone has good hints on doing that let me know.
