Does anyone know the range of fuse ratings in the car. I'm looking to buy a fuse kit so I've got some spares.

If someone could save me ripping open all the fuse boxes if I'd be grateful

I appreciate your thinking. But for what its worth, I have NEVER burnt out a fuse on my car. Perhaps redirect the money to bulbs instead.
There is a table at the back of the Owner’s Manual that lists all fuses, locations and ratings.

 

Thanks Guy, I know what you mean but for the sakes of £6 it's a little extra insurance.

When the car get laid up for winter I'll have a look at swapping out some of the small bulbs for LEDs

+1 to guy's comment. The only fuse I've ever had blow is for the lighter/power socket.

This is probably enough to keep the entire forum membership in fuses and also contains several amperages which are not used on the XK.




This is what is used:
5A - Tan
10A - Red
15A - Blue
25A - Clear
30A - Green
40A - Orange

To make life easier, the Rear Seat Compartment Fuse Box and Passenger Compartment Fuse Box each holds spare fuses and a fuse removal tool.
