An over-square small piston engine is the only thing that can deliver motorbike like rise in rpm and have a very extended rpm range. Many wealthy eccentrics have tried to bring back the virtue of a over-square balanced engine car design. One even bolted 2 inline6 from Kawasaki bikes. Sabrro 12.
I wanted to say thank you for all the comments and infos you bring to the forum, you seems to have the "attitude" and its rare nowdays, I red plenty of guys, and they seems empty when its time to respond or help others, or just say thank you or they are good at bad disapointing jokes or remarks i will rather pass doing, displaced jokes i will say, and i beleive a lot in attitude so I just wanted to say thank you, and I hope you get it back

I believe that if I have a lot of fire and passion now, maybe when I get old I will still have a little left. At that time I can get a BMW. But for now, the Jags and Astons suit my lifestyle.

Did you see my post about the wax that is mixed with ceramic. So you get all the advantages of both and there is no special application needed.

Rob I am there 14-18
Dont tell me you are going to drive the XKR back to Jersey.
Be warned, I did that trip last year in reverse, NJ to Chicago, worst trip ever. Did not realize how undevopled Pennsyltucky is. I was in my SUV, be different in a jag. Finding quality gas is the trick.

Q & C;

Sorry to miss you. If you are ever back in Jersey, please let me know. I live near Pa. and work some golf outings over there, so I know the area a bit. Locally we refer to Pa. as Phily on one end, Pittsburg on the other and Alabama in the middle.

Yes I'm going to drive it home, why not? I may go south to Indy and then take I-70. I have not seen that stretch if farmland before.

When car idles high the computer is trying to compensate for a reading. Not enough air or not enough fuel, or not enough spark, when car is cold. This would be my guess. If it was me, I would do a through cleaning anyway, clean throttle body, clean the fuel system with Techron. You should use it as preventative maintenance anyway. Its safe and effective.

Could just be that a sensor is going to go bad, which is an easy fix. But it hasnt gone completely bad yet so you are not getting CEL yet.

Thanks, I'll post a general thread when I get it home. Quickly a DHC (let's see how many that confuses), silver/w.c., 16k original miles confirmed by Auto Check and Carfax.

When I was buying an XKR from Chicago, i could get no service history from anyone. Then I got an idea I called the dealership that was mentioned in the carfax. The service manager knew the car like his own. He said most put a car like this up for the winter but not this one. Carfax would have never told me that. He confirmed it was a true problem free car that had been religiously maintained.

This is all the protection I need. I enjoy waxing once every 6 months.

Sorry bit of thread deviation but entertaining. True Story. As you know Chicago is full of New immigrants from Russia and beyond. I made an offer $1k below the asking price. They said absolutely no, the lowest we will go is $3k below the asking price- I said deal- she said no thats too low. I walked. Next day car is being advertised for $6k below the previous asking price. Go figure. Yeah that car had seen more potholes than Willie Nelson.

Don't know about DHC (paint code maybe?). But man! You got a silver Water Closet in yours?
Talk about a great car for a cross country trip!
