Default Rear traction

Has anyone experienced an issue with their xkr where it feels like the rear wheels slip or fail to grip when u start in forward motion?

It's what happens when you have a brick for a right foot.

What brand/model/age of tire, inflation pressure, tread depth and road surface condition? All of these factors affect grip and when wheel slippage is detected the traction control nanny steps in, which is what you're feeling. Try driving like there's an egg between your foot and the exhilarator pedal.

Stuart thank you for your expert reply. I appreciate you giving me all the factors that contribute to what I was experiencing. Thank you again and I will be more tender in my accelerations. Again thank you

Default WARNING! UHP Summer Tires in Winter

Very important - Ultra High Performance Summer Tires, as fitted to many XK/XKR models from the factory, were not designed for freezing temperatures and can lose traction and split in cold climates.

Beware that some performance summer tires can crack in winter - Consumer Reports

Stuart
What Stuart said, only add "Pilot Super Sports" are junk. Worst tires I've ever owned.

yeah my 510hp xkr loses traction way more than my 300hp xk ever did. I smoked them between 1st and 2nd today and I wasnt even REALLY trying to push things, lol.
