A while ago I "punched the gas" from a dead stop and got a bad rear wheel hop. I thought I would just spin the tires. It surprised me. Today going around a corner and maybe hitting a small bump in the road I heard a slight bang in the rear suspension. I replaced the sway bar ends so it should not be that. I need to get it on a lift to look at it but I do not have easy access to one. Anyone have any ideas what the problem might be? What I should look at? Thanks.

 

Too many variables and the two instances may not be linked

Rear tyres worn - no lift required to diagnose
Rear shock failed - no lift required to diagnose
Rear spring issue - no lift required to diagnose
Binding brake - no lift required to diagnose
E-diff issues- expensive

Loose item rattling around in trunk?

 

Add Bushings? Bearings?

 

A group seance is not going to get to the bottom of this one.

Floor jack and wheels off is a necessity to get beyond speculation.
