Gloss is also easier to clean. If doing rattle can, duplicolor have a high gloss ceramic heat resistant clear coat that gives a wet look. After about a month, you can also apply some coats of ceramic paint protectant which will help protect them from brake dust and also assist cleaning with just a rinse off.

I plan on painting my calipers at some point too. Good tip on the ceramic.
Would like to paint the wheels as Cee Jay suggests but wondering if it will adversely affect the PVD chrome, or the warranty on it.
I also like to paint the rotors - knowing they rust in the same spots all the time. Baking them after is also a good idea.

It's a really easy job even with wheels fitted (or at least was with my vortex and vulcans) Also a few squirts of bilt hamber atom-mac on your rotors keeps them rust free for months

Yes, seriously. They store my off season set of wheels and charged $225 to ceramic coat the wheels inside and out along with the brake calipers. Not only that, I know they will be more cautious with mounting the wheels and torquing them correct. Local detail shops were quoting $400 for just the wheels.
