Hi all, wanted to ask if it’s possible or if anyone has successfully replaced an ECM with a used one. I understand SDD would be needed but wanted to ask if this has ever been done successfully.
I have SDD with an Astron SS 50 and have been able to re flash the ECM but it has not resolved my problem which are:
-No LTFT values in adaptation table
-Negative voltage for map, app, throttle and one maf
-Code P003e and when review FF data see data issue with baro / map which shows .0029inHm instead of 29inHm. Also see same decimal issue with fuel rail pressure
I have measured and all components show correct voltage values so would like to replace ECM.

Get a used ECU, make sure it's from same car same engine. Plug in and with sdd program as new Ecu module.
What year and model?
It’s a 2010 XK NA, I have a used one arriving today. It does state in the Jag documentation that module swapping is not recommended but stated the issue is more when the donor module is returned back or it’s original car.
it also states CCF could get corrupt so I want
to review CCF a bit more.

Best way is 1st: reload as build files with your old ECU in car. 2nd . Install used ECU and program as new
Ecu numbers must match on your used ECU

Thanks Alex! I had double
check and there are two mismatch which I hope are insignificant.
here is there used ECM - I have highlighted in blue the mismatch
Used ECM
Here is the used replacement with two different Numbers to the original
Here is the current ECM with highlighted differences in blue (1 of 2)

I was able to successfully replace the ECM with a used ECM. Unfortunately I still have my strange behavior. ECM show APP, MAP throttle and MAP for bank1 all showing -32 volts from the ECM when they are unplugged. When plugged they report -31.xx.
Seems there is a -32 volt bias.
I have performed volt drop testing on all components except for APP as it’s difficult to get to.
I will put a scope on Maf and see if it’s spiking as the DVM may miss it.
