QC, so you can get them to blow warm 'air conditioned' air like the HVAC system...I didn't know that...apologies. The V stands for ventilation btw. They are marketed by Jaguar (and everyone else IIRC) as either 'cooled' or 'ventilated'. But natch I stand to be corrected if they can blow in the same temp range as the main system.

Can't confirm the lbs/kg saving as havent weighed them or indeed a standard seat, just what I've read, which could be wrong. Appreciate it's not only the ventilation gubbins but also less seat padding and two cut-outs in the backs of SS seats.

I've never ever in the UK thought "What I'd do for cold air on my @rse right now' It just doesn't get warm enough, plus like Prince Andrew (eek!) I don't sweat/perspire/glow

Thanks Marky,

Really want to find out if the seats have active pelletier cooling or just circulate cabin air.
My suspicion is they are active, because I can turn the vents off and just used the cooled seats on the hottest days.
I swear its so much more comfortable than air blowing on your face. Its not the legs or the bottom, the back!! it has to be the body's radiator.
I am looking at some other cars with 'ventilated' seats and they merely blow air- which has some small benefit on really long drives when it fells like you are wearing a padded leather overcoat on a summer day, and technically you are.

Yeah I think they're cooled and not just ventilated. I noticed it the first time I test drove one. Takes a few minutes and then it's like "wait, what's THIS going on down there?" I love 'em. (Always thought a cooled steering wheel would be great as well but I don't see how that would work.)

Totally, even in winter when I do the same long drive as you x-country, my biggest gripe is how hot and sticky my hands get.
That's where those autonomous vehicles have our cars beat, they can shake a martini while driving.

On my Rapide, you feel and hear an engine working underneath with a little air coming out. Not impressive at all.

Our Volvo heat/cooled seats on the other hand are quite impressive.
