Use SDD or do a hard reset (at least I assume a Hard Reset resets the ECU).
Hard Reset = Disconnect the battery cables and hold the negative cable to the positive cable for a few seconds, then reconnect to battery.

A hard reset only somewhat resets it - but WHY do you want to do it?

Thanks on the replies guys!
I was asking about a hard reset because it had been recommended to me by one of the forums members to clear out a pesky CEL P0193 that came on after installing new OEM fuel temperature sensor, OEM fuel pressure sensor, and new car battery.
they also recommended I just have AutoZone clear the code and see if it re-appears, so far so good after the clear 🤞
again thanks for the replies

A hard reset will NOT clear a code such as that. You'd always have to fix the cause. Then the code will self-clear as the law requires (after 3 warm ups).
