This Saturday I handed the keys to "Bagheera", the XKR175 that I have owned since 2015, to its new owner. My wife and I had a VERY hard time deciding to sell the car, but with the new electric Taycan coming in December, we needed to make room in the garage.
On the plus side, the new owner is a very nice person, a major car nut, multipe Jaguar owner, and also a current forum member. He is now in the process of driving the car some 3,000 miles back to its new home, with plenty of adventures along the way.
Here's the hand-over:

i have been in your situation having been the proud owner of the exact same model. it was a sad day for me to hand it off, but I recovered by purchasing the 2014 XKR-S, in Italian racing red. one thing about the 2011, I sure do not miss trying to keep those wheels clean. they look great, but are a real chore to get clean
I'm the lucky new owner of 'Bag, thanks to wonderful forum member JWS and his equally charming and delightful wife
Also thanks for all of the great help and advice from folks on this board - y'all steered me right. I was looking for the very nicest XKR I could find, and seem to have struck gold with this immaculate (seriously immaculate) XKR175. She's absolutely beautiful, in and out, and Bagheera drives wonderfully - just a marvelous touring vehicle
Adopting a much beloved and superbly well cared for X150 from a highly knowledgeable forum member really makes the whole classic Jag experience a uniquely rewarding pleasure

So true about the wheels! The Jaguar rotors/pads have great brake feel, but dust up after even a short drive. I added a "ceramic coat" that is hydrophobic, which helps with the cleaning but did not reduce the amount of dust it collects.
j.w.s.,
My 2010 XKR which has all the body bits and pieces of an XKR175, (I added them because I loved the look of a forum member's car when I bought mine about 10 years ago) is still the best car I've ever owned in 55 years of driving. I will never get rid of mine because I think I'd be disappointed with anything I could replace it with. Your XKR was gorgeous, and the new owner will probably love it to death. I hope you get as much joy out of your new Porsche. Good luck.
