Isn't it! I averaged slightly over that on one leg of my drive down to the South of France in August. The leg was about 70 miles on the French autoroute system. It has an impact on the mpg though!

I’ve had my 2008 XK Coupe since new, and never a days issue.
I’ve read about many problems that some owners have expressed such as the duck bill, causing water in true passenger foot well, and the leather dash problem and many of the minor issues.
Nothing ever.
Now what I haven’t mentioned, never seen the rain, only insured spring and summer, and going into its 13th year with 18,000 KM on her, but despite how little it gets driven, it is enjoyed daily.
I've had my 2009 XKR Coupe for six years now and it has been trouble free...just keep up on normal maintenance. I take it on the local Porsche Club road rallies each year and the P-Car guys are always complimenting it. It's one of those cars that you have to look back at when you park it. Never get tired of looking at it.

^^^^^^^. the only fault I can find with the car’s design lines, is that I can’t look at it while I’m driving it !!! Any suggestions how to solve this conundrum ?

my e types were the only-est. cars I’ve ever owned that compelled (extremely fine looking) women to flag me down and ask for a ride. Happened several times, of course I was younger then too.
Bought my 2009 XKR Portfolio Coupe 6 years ago with a hair over 50k miles. Just flipped over 100k. Love this car. I use it as my daily driver and it’s never let me down. Keep the maintenance up and have repairs made as needed just like any other 10+ year old car. It ain’t cheap to own but it’s worth it for the driving pleasure. A head turner that gets unsolicited comments pretty much every time I drive it.

Same here... even get people who ask what kind of car it is. I guess since there are not too many coupes, people are confused as to what it is. A family asked me what it was ... I told them it was Jaguar. They responded by saying "oh, they're making them like that now." I didn't bother telling them its 11 years old already.
I hit a car the other night when he didn't yield. My damage was largely superficial.

In case you are wondering how my car could inflict that damage, the metal reinforcement bar behind the bumper cover snagged his door. The impact at his wheel also knocked his steering out (electric maybe?).
I was happy to drive away. Adjuster comes tomorrow.

Glad nobody was hurt. To turn bad into good, you could maybe use this an opportunity to upgrade the front end to the post 2010 model type? Gives you a more modern, slightly more aggressive look?

I hope that he got a ticket and that you have asked for a copy of the police accident report. Call a Jag dealer and ask who does their body work and get an estimate from them. The question I would have is how much damage is under the front facia. Looking at maybe 8 -10 K damage. Good luck.
Too bad, but glad to hear you are OK. I assume you (or police) got his insurance information. His insurer will likely recommend two or three body shops that they will want you to work with, but I think you can argue this with a competitive estimate from the shop you want to take it to. If the car were newer and more common I would also worry about the shop installing non-OEM bits, but this is unlikely with a Jaguar of this MY.

The police only generate accident reports around here if there is an injury, and even then do not assess fault. It's really annoying! That policy really worked against me once before when I was struck by a merging car and the lack of report led to the insurance company deeming it a no-fault accident and not paying my claim.
Your unfortunate experience is the reason to have a dashcam.
Just from the photos, you have an uphill battle to convince your insurance company that the accident is not your fault unless the other driver admits that he failed to yield. The likely increase in your insurance premiums will far exceed the cost of a dashcam.
I doubt that your insurance company would pay for a new or refurbed bumper cover and associated parts from a 5.0L XKR. Even if they would, I wouldn't do it as it screams "I've been in a front-end accident!" and I prefer the original design.
You have the right to choose the repair shop. Get recommendations from your Jaguar dealer. You should only use a shop that is approved by Jaguar for aluminum body repairs.
P.S. You will file a claim with your insurance company, not the other driver's insurer. If your insurance company determines that the accident was 100% the fault of the other driver, it will pay to repair your XKR and refuse to pay anything to repair the other driver's car. Thereafter, your insurance company will seek reimbursement of all its costs ("subrogation") from the other driver's insurer. Here's how it works: https://insurify.com/blog/car-insurance/subrogation/
