Default Seat belt twisted question

I guess I just asked it. Both seatbelts seem like they have and extra half twist in them, IE they dont lay flat. So either Ihave the half twist by the buckle or move it up behind the magnetic thing by my shoulder. This isnt right is it?

One of mine was like that. Decided, if it’s never been apart then it must have become somehow become twisted & the twisted bit must be inside the rear trim. I just fully extended it, then where it comes out the trim slot, gave it half a turn to the correct position. Then pushed the folded belt back into the rear slot. Job done

Belts can get folded over and twist when pulled. Find which loop the cross over happened and just gently reverse it. Best not have belts that don't run correctly.

I have the same problem with my passenger seat belt but my RETRACTOR AND REAR TRIM SLOT PANEL WAS APART when my headliner was replaced. I’m assuming the only way to get it right is to take that rear trim panel apart to reverse the retractor which is a HUGE job as the rear seat had to come out. I was told by a few upholstery shops that the retractor must have been reversed when things were put back. For the present time I’ve lived with it as the belt still works but doesn’t lay flat on one side. Not going back to the trim shop as he might cause additional damage. I wish it was an easier fix.

Fixed! I thought somewhere in its previous life the seat belt had come off for some work and got put back wrong. Nope, just got twisted. Did exactly as you described and now they are perfect. Wife is blown away, it was one of those things we had just learned to live with. Taking out the girl tonight to celebrate.
