Default Seat control module from another Jaguar?

Hello guys,

I have a problem with the driver seat. The recline function is not working. I have checked the buttons in the door and also the seat motors. Everything is working fine so I thought that the seat control module might be faulty.
I bought a used one from a Jaguar XF because the part number, sw version, hardware version (all the numbers) was the same as from my XKR.

Nothing works now, when I press forward the seat moves a bit and then it stops. Same for all the other seat control buttons.

Do I have to do some coding, is there a component protection on the seat control module or is there a teach-in required?
This was the auction:

Your module is fine, just needs to be reset. My son leaned mine back too far and mine did the same thing as yours. Had an indy reset it for me. Well damnitt if he didn't do it again the other day. Now I'm going to see if the SDD will reset the seat module. If so, I'm just going to buy that.

Yes it is only a routine that can be performed with SDD, seat calibration. Range Rovers have the same problem same solution.

Did you reinstall the original module? I don’t recall if there was a routine for replacing the seat module before running the calibration routine but check for that. Also try resetting the car by disconnecting the battery. Double check harnesses and connectors as well.

I could solve it... :-)
There is routine to flash the used module which I bought from ebay. The used module had the VIN of the previous car saved so I guess it won't communicate with my Jag.

After flashing everything worked fine ... thanks for your help :-)
