Seatbelt

Seatbelt
My 2009 XK has been a very interesting vehicle. I've replaced quite a few cosmetic , small interior parts (glove box dampener) and even installed the remote for the top. It is perfect in all other aspects, but the first owner of this car was either a drug dealer and the car was seized or something very weird went on with this car.
My latest fix is with both front seat belts. They have a twist in them. The lap portion is flat, but above that, when buckled, the belt is twisted. This twist also restricts the belt from retracting completely and thus the buckle many times will be laying in the way of the door jam.
I flipped the buckle around on the belt, but that made the situation worse. Tried folding the belt over on the top, but return mechanism didn't function well. I truly need to unwind the belt 1/2 turn. It looks like the easiest way would be to loosen the anchor bolt on the floor board and un-spin the belt. The problem is loosening the Torx anchor bolt. There isn't much space between the bolt and seat track. Looks like I need to remove the seat or loosen it enough to allow the Torx bit in to perform this operation.
I'm looking for any suggestions or better way to handle this.

Here's the remedy by rscultho. Apologies but can't find a way to link the thread (working on mobile):
So my seatbelt had twisted around so that the part that plugs into the buckle was facing the wrong way, which caused the belt to be twisted when I buckled myself in.
I was gonna try and twist the belt and pull it through the plug so it at least would not not twist the belt but could not get the belt material through it by folding it over and then trying to pull it through.
So I started trying to figure out how the belt got twisted to begin with. I started looking at where the belt comes out of the side panel behind the front seat. I pulled the belt out all the way to a stop, twisted the belt over, and let it go back in and the belt simply spun around and went back in normally! Apparently the end of the belt that wraps around the parts inside the panel is on some kind of swivel that twists around.
I thought I was gonna have to remove the seat and remove the bolt that holds the belt down in the floor board.
My apologies if should have known the belt did this...some of you may already have known about this...

I could have sworn that I tried your method before, ejjbee, but it seem to work this time. I guess I didn't pull the belt out all the way on prior attempts. I even had a Jag tech do it and it didn't fix it. Once I folded the belt over and let it retract again, I pulled it out all the way again until it was taught to make sure the belt was completely set.
Working now!
Thank you for your post. You just saved me pulling my seat.
