Default Seats don't sit up very much?

I love everything about this car except the seat. After driving 20 minutes the back of my neck started hurting because the seats were tilted to far back and i had to support my neck. Then my wife sat in it and she felt like she was laying back way too much. Most cars allow us to sit up fine.

What i wanted to know is if this 07 XK wasn't inclining as much as it should or if it's broken, or maybe if newer ones went up more. If it were not for this one issue I'd buy one.

A semi-common problem is that occasionally the seat controllers need to be re-flashed. A dealer can do this in several minutes, or if you know of anyone with Jaguar SDD or similar it can be done.

Can you tell by the pics if they look like they should be able to go up more?

I shall go adjust mine full up and see what they look like. Course, I'm 6-2 and have mine all the way back and semi-recumbent.

You need the seats recalibrated for sure.

If you can upload a pic i would appreciate it.

Is taking it to a Jaguar dealer the only way to reset it? This one was at a small used lot with no service area.

I'm not sure if this is 100% accurate, but if it is then the one I drove definitely doesn't go forward enough. Thank you. I'll try another one and see if it's better. I'd hate for this car to be off my list just because my wife doesn't like the seat.

Bah, just tell her that it needs to be recalibrated. Buy it, then "oh no, that didn't fix it".
Some people adjust the seats permanently and beyond OEM range by putting washers and such under the mounting system, above the floor. I need to do that to my front seat bottom as my thighs don't even touch the seat.

EDIT:
Also, can you match up the seat-back seams with the door jam to get a better idea? I can't really get a good picture of the PAX side because of crap in the garage.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is having this problem. I thought it was just me.
I e-mailed the dealership in Atlanta to ask how much they charge to do this.

It sounds like you haven't bought the car yet. If so, tell your seller the seats should adjust, make the recalibration part of the deal if you buy it. My '07 adjusts just like CJ's does.
