Why are you making more work for yourself than necessary doing something that is not easily reversible by the next owner? Keep it simple and remove fuse 19. It's really easy.

I've had Fuse 19 out for many years and have never felt that my XKR was lacking in low end torque. Whatever the loss may be, for me it's worth it to get the improved exhaust note.

I may be mistaken but, as I recall, the active exhaust is closed at low engine speeds to increase backpressure, which maximizes low-end torque.
I've had Fuse 19 out for many years and have never felt that my XKR was lacking in low end torque. Whatever the loss may be, for me it's worth it to get the improved exhaust note.
