Smoke tails. Plasti dip

Smoke tails. Plasti dip
Decided to smoke the tails with plasti dip smoke and glossifier. Not totally sold on the look yet. Some have suggested 2 coats of black instead the applying glossifier for a darker more glossy finish. This is 6 thin coats of smoke and 2 of glossifier. I did smoke the 3rd light later on.. Thoughts?

I don't care for it on a black car. Black is a color that swallows light instead of reflecting it. Much of aesthetic design is based on clearly defined contrasts in order to make out design features. All black reduces or eliminates contrasts.
To me black can be beautiful but, it needs to come with plenty of contrasts. Otherwise you will not be able to see the design details from more than a few standing feet away. When I see all blacked out black cars, they look terrible for me.

Jaguars are classy cars. The blacked out sinister look doesn't fit the car. Especially with the chrome moulding below the truck lid on yours. Personally, I don't like it on a Jaguar. On some other, louder, cars it would fit the cars hooligan look. Now step back and think about the car you are driving and what makes it a Jaguar.

Yea I would go either a little darker or none at all. Black film would be sweet. They look rather matte. I would go darker on the tail lights and leave the 3rd brake light stock so people can still see you brake. I am contemplating doing this myself to my car, but I have mixed feelings about it. It's white so it would look evil with black taillights, but it's also totally impractically because the lights will be dim and it could lead to accidents. Honestly what I would recommend is replacing the taillight bulbs with the brightest LEDs you can find (like the 5050 type). That's a really sick car, I would leave the tint spray to the Civics. Maybe an aftermarket LED taillight or something... Probably pricey though.

What was the process if you did them yourself or got someone to do them?
Did you get them from anywhere? Also, there was chat on ALC lights ... do you have a link to "ALC" or know what ALC means?
Appreciate the help. !!

That's a 2007-2009 with stock tail lights. They had regular incandescent bulbs inside the housings. 2010 and newer have the all red LED lights.

No idea what ALC lights mean, or I'm missing the context. I don't see any reference on this page about it either.
