Default Spark plugs

I took my 2013 Xk out for a spin, from a complete stop I floored it and went to about 80 mph. Note I was in sport mode and in drive. Afterwards the dash lit up telling me that advance mode was disabled and the check engine light was blinking. I shut it off and restarted it, the check engine light was still on but not blinking. I sent it back to where I bought it, there telling me it needed a set of spark plugs keep in mind it only has 62,000 miles. My question is should I believe what they are telling me?

You should only believe what the car is telling you... blinking engine light usually means misfires.

Scan the codes, or have them scan it and tell you what they are. Then go from there.

DO NOT operate the vehicle under conditions that cause the MIL to flash, as catalyst damage is occurring. Find and correct the misfire(s).

Jag dealer? Need codes to know specifically but DI fuel injectors are known to fail on these motors, spark plugs fail if something damages them, raw fuel dumping into the cats can cause damage. Many guesses at this point.
