Default Spoiler

Well...got my new spoiler in today for my XKR. Can't wait to get it painted and installed. Looks like my guy is busy so won't be painted and installed until end of next week.

What's the point of this spoiler vs the original one? Does it just extend out more?

It's OEM from the XKR-S/Aerodynamic spoiler (same part number). My parts guy thinks its the same spoiler also from the Black Pack. I'll post pics end of next week as again my bodyshop guy says he won't have it done until then.

Yes....extends more as it's the XKR-S spoiler/Black Pack. Wanted it cuz it's alittle different from the stock looking XKR. Alittle larger than stock but not a ricer wing.

I also going to have my guy paint the lower valance the color code of the car. If it doesn't look nice I have a spare to put back on.

Spoiler was cheap as it was only $500 (+tax) + $100 painted so if I don't like it I'll just go back to stock.

Finally got the spoiler and painted rear valence on today. Spoiler is the XKR-S/Black Pack spoiler and I just painted the rear valence to match the car.

Only other mod I'm going to do this summer is to upgrade to the 2010 LED Taillights using load resistors. Shouldn't be that difficult (crossing fingers) as my friend did it on his RRS and 997TT.

Pics of the spoiler and painted rear valence.

Default Large Rear Spoiler

What is the part number for your spoiler? Is it the same one that is on the XKR 75 and XKR 175? The brochure states that you can only install the spoiler on the 201 XKR in conjunction with the front splitter. I doubt that this is tru because I highly doubt that Jaguar fabricated different tailgates for the 2010 MY. I did however consider that it my be due to different the suspension settings used on the pre-20010 MY vs. the post 2010 MY.
