WRONG - they have appeared several MODEL and REGION forums posted by a number of our Sponsors and Vendors and do NOT get moved.

The policy on advertising is straightforward ...... or should be. I do seem to spend a lot of my time explaining and applying it.

Members can only post advertising (For Sale, Wanted to Buy or Wanted to Trade known by the acronyms FS, WTB and WTT respectively) in MARKETPLACE. Membership of jaguarforums, com is FREE for individuals and also for businesses provided they do not promote their own products or post negatively about competitors.

Our forum SPONSORS and VENDORS all PAY forum owner INTERNET BRANDS for the privilege of being on the forum. They can be identified by the Sponsor or Vendor description next to their username as in this example for SuperSprint:

Some also pay a higher amount to sponsor a specific forum. You will see their logo next to the forum. Here are two examples for Jaguar Specialities and S N G Barratt:

Members can choose to follow, support, use or block Sponsors or Vendors but it is their monthly PAYMENTS that keep the forums FREE for the rest of us to enjoy. Please understand and respect that.

Hoo-boy, you're in trouble now.
You really should have advertised in the Advertiser section instead of in the forum.

OR:

Hoo-boy, sei nei guai ora.
Avresti davvero dovuto fare pubblicità nella sezione Inserzionista invece che nel forum.

Exactly. They pay for the privilege of not being restricted to the Marketplace to advertise their products.

This Jaguar Forum wouldn't exist without Forum sponsors or membership dues.

Well, in the nine years I've been in here, I've not seen even a Sponsor Ad in the actual forum section that didn't get moved. Actually, I've not SEEN a Sponsor ad in the Forum section ever.

Regardless of 'right' or 'wrong', this really isn't a correct location for such things.

Solely because of this pretty much SPAM thread, I will not now, nor ever, utilize any offering from this 'sponsor'.

Policies change, and Forum Sponsors need to get a return on their investment.

I have the opposite opinion. I always check with Forum sponsors first and then compare their delivered price to the competition. They make this Forum possible, so the least I can do is give them the opportunity to earn my business.

Hey, I agree, if you want or need a part or service, by all means use a Sponsor first!!! That's why there is a Sponsor Page and a Marketplace. This is not that.
Sure, I can block this particular sponsor, but I shouldn't have to do that. I just ask to not muddy up a Forum with Advertisements.

Is this the right time to request a decent priced header system for the 4.2 in RHD & LHD form from Supersprint

Default A few sample videos

It will give you a very good idea of the company and it's background/history and you can hear the exhaust system sound coming from a V8 motor with new SuperSprint exhaust system.
Thank you.....

The engine in steve_k_xk 2007 XK isn't the stock 4.2L. It's a 4.4L NA engine out of a Range Rover Sport.
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ersion-250236/

My bet is that Forum Sponsor Supersprint doesn't have headers for the X150 in stock, including the 4.2L and 5.0L NA and SC models. If they did, we would have already heard about it.

This is true it's a 4.4 out of a range rover sport as Stuart stated however not to confuse matters the exhaust ports are in the same location as the 4.2 .

Default Regarding Steve's inquiry .....

Currently, we do not have headers for this particular vehicle. He however might send stock factory exhaust manifolds to our fabrication department in Italy to be used as a template in order to create new headers. I have to determine if the actual model vehicle must be in the shop as part of the new design for the headers or if it can be done without the presence of the car. Should this is doable, Thank you.

Default Response from owner of SuperSprint

Hello everyone,
I just received this reply. Please read. St this time, we can only offer, exhaust muffler, mid pipes and Sport Cats.
Thank you !
Roberto__________________
Hi Roberto,

we have never developped any specific headers for the 2007 (or similar model year) Jaguar XK 4.2 litre.

On the other side we have manufactured specific headers for RANGE ROVER L322 4.2i V8 Supercharged (left hand drive ONLY)
https://www.supersprint.com/ww-en/ra...patent-v2.aspx#!/

as well as for RANGE ROVER SPORT 4.2i V8 Supercharged (left hand drive ONLY)

https://www.supersprint.com/ww-en/ra...-drive-v1.aspx#!/

One of them in particular could be similar, but we assume not exactly the same as the headers of the 2007 Jaguar XK 4.2 litre. Not so easy to find this out in great detail without the donar car.

First of all, none of the 2 headers of the above mentioned
are suitable for any of the RHD models. This is already the major problem I can see, for Steve of Australia. RHD vehicle.

We could ask Steve to send us his stock headers for our analysis & control and inspection, but in any case, the development of a specific complexed 8 cylider headers set without having the donar car at our R&D building, it's going to be an extremely difficult task, because we simply are not aware of the available free space and tolerances under the car when building all of the 8 long primary pipings especially.

For the moment, I would hold off on this idea/project, because at this moment, there are too many variables and unpredictable factors involved.

Thank you for sending me Steve's inquiry.

Ciao

The headers you stated for the 4.2 s/c Range Rover would indeed fit the 4.2 jaguar engine in both forms being supercharged and n/a and would even fit the 2006-2009 4.4l range rover (all share exact same exhaust ports) however the biggest problem for the jaguar would be the lack of clearance there is minimal room between the driveline and rails for a system to get through definitely think you'd need a car on hand
