Thoughts on this hybrid
I know forum members talk about other cars here in the X150 sub so I thought I'd put it out there for feedback. First I've heard of it.

Absolutely stunning and a rightful successor to the Jaguar XK.
His time at Jaguar severed him well.
He understands that 0-60 times mean nothing and a car must move you in a different way " calm, planted and composed at speed"
It validates our cars in many ways, the shape, return to elegant leather and wood. In a word; grace. f a bunch of carbon fiber steampunk- leave that for the broke pimple-faced freaks with their rice burners.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

p.s He is describing our car.
"Feel the endless torque. Exhilarating. Smooth. Satisfying."
"We are not for everybody, and we never will be.
No one needs a product like this.
We exist for those who have to have one."
One thing is for certain he is building the perfect narrative that one needs in their mind.

Maybe a lite blaspheme here but over on my old Ferrari site there is a company in Ca. that converted a old 308 GTB to an all electric car and even used the trans-axle . It was an interesting thread as they covered every step. Their doner car was a burned up shell.
Now would it be interesting to see what they could do if they tried it on an X150 shell.

Yep, I thought a bit about "BMW meet Thomas the Train" when I spotted the front end at eye level. Not a deal breaker for me though and nothing like the Lexus gape. Not in the market for a sedan but it would be on my list of look-sees, if I were.

SPOILER ALERT!!
Dont go past this point unless you are sure...
It cost less than my car, inflation adjusted.
On top of that you get subsidy and prime parking, and good looks from greenpeace. Did I mention use of HOV lanes in many cities.
Thank god it can only do 300miles a day, I would have placed an order if not for that rate limiting step.

Yes I think I read 50 miles on electric power and the goes to gas powered. Electrical is charged by the gas engine.

That's Fisker's Karma. Fisker went BK about five years ago. A Chinese billionaire bought the the company for about 150 million + another 250 million for the battery company and re-introduced the "new and improved" Karma @ $130K a copy [same sheet metal as the original] to put Tesla out of business.
Good luck with that!

Probably will do it.
Would you agree that majority of Tesla buyers, are actually buying one to stand above the rest- so to speak. they dont care about emissions. I dont want to be a part of that crowd. Vehemently stand for the use of gasoline.

I see a lot of the Pontiac Solstice in the front end.
Nice car overall, however im not sure I would like the 'sound of silence' driving when running on electric power. I prefer to hear the engine sound when driving.

As David said, this is a Fiskar Karma. It's not new as it was brought to market in 2012. I see them driving around Los Angeles every so often. They had a very nice shape, lower than you would expect of a sedan. Very attractive to look at, but as I recall not much performance wise. And where do you think you'll be taking it for service if you have a problem? Maybe your local Tesla dealership? I don't think so. Nice idea, undercapitalized venture (adventure) that went the way of the DeLorean. You can pick up used ones with very low mileage in the $35-40,000 range, so why bother spending $130,000-140,000 for a new one.

We need to realize that he was sued hard and prevented from selling cars by both Tesla and Ford. He won both of those lawsuits and is back to claim his comeuppance!
It was dirty, dirty politics. Elon Musk tied him up in court and got ahead- even though he lost the case. What does Elon even know about designing cars. Henrik has been a car designer all his life. Designed the nicer looking Aston.
He is a bit of a copycat. But thank god for that! he is still wanting to make cars for a purpose these other prostitutes of the auto industry have abandoned in favor of volume. But guess what comes with volume, ubiquity, with ubiquity comes an unmemorable life.
