I never got around to doing the brakes, so I don't know if they will solve the problem or not. I may just take it to this indie Jag shop to do it.
The only problems that really persist now that the weather is warm are:
1. Clicking/popping (possibly from the brakes)
2. Lazy downshifting after a few minutes on the highway.
The logo screen hasn't frozen in a long time, and even if it does every now and again, I'm not going to be bothered by it too much.

I tried to do the brake TSB today and failed miserably. First I couldn't find the caliper slider pins. Then when I found them, I didn't have the right tool to remove it (what size torx bit does it take? Or is it not a torx bit?). Then I was putting things back together, having failed to accomplish anything, and that dang anti-rattle clip (with the "R" emblem) gave me the worst blood blister in recent memory! Arghhh!
Not to mention working on my car with my tools requires me to load up a metal cart and pushing it 1/4 mile away to my covered parking spot.

Well, the brakes are creaking anyway--so I'm going to give it another shot tomorrow now that I bought a hex socket set.
I found an indie shop that will reset the transmission adaptations for about 1 hour of labor ($100-150, I'm guessing). This is better than dealing with the crappy dealers in the area to try to get them to take action under warranty.

ARghhh... I wasted another two hours today trying to remove those dang caliper slider pins. I still don't have the right hex socket size. It appears to be somewhere in between an 8 and a 10 (mm??), which the set I just bought doesn't have. Why the hell would Jaguar use a size like that!?
This has to be the most difficult brake job I've ever encountered. And it's not because of the slider pin. It's because of that dang anti rattle clip with the R emblem! I spend at least 30 minutes fiddling with it every time I have to get it back on, smashing my fingers and flinging it across the parking lot all the while. And cursing!!!

Just polished up my Jag this weekend!

However, the car has another new ANNOYING feature. Now when I turn the right turn signal on, the high beams come on. If I push the stalk ever so slightly forward when this happens, the high beams will go off. But it is so obnoxious!
I'm sure it would be covered under the Select Edition Warranty, but my local dealers suck so bad that I'd rather just fix it myself. I'm pretty sure it is just the turn signal stalk that needs replacing, which is approximately a $200 part.
Anyone else have this issue? I've never had this happen on any car I've owned!

I am not sure, but if you are covered under a dealers warranty go to the dealer!! Don't do it yourself when you are covered under a warranty!!!

they screw your mind and then you don't want use them anymore, me too i ended up to call the warranty and they may accept both repairs. Call this dealer , he won't print the stuff and he will fix it...
