Default Time to buy an XKR

Hello everyone, I currently own a '05 STR. I actually bought that car for my wife, but simply can't leave it alone. It's my, (her) first Jag. So, I was talking about buying myself one, (a XKR of course) and now the time is here. I'm seriously looking now and will be purchasing in March. I'm excited!!! I'm looking at something between a '08 and a 10, though due to financial challenges the '08 is probably the way I'm going to go. I have 3 questions for you fortunates that get to drive the XKR

1- I know car condition, mileage, etc comes into play when buying a car, but can you give me what you guys would consider a fair price range, if that's possible

2- Haven't even bought the car yet, but I'm already thinking about mods. Can you guys shed a little light on what I would need to do to get more power? Maybe buy the car first

3- Do you guys know of any "gotchas" I should keep a lookout for? Thanks guys. I should be joining the "XKR" club within the next 30 days!!!

Default 2008 XKR pricing

I just bought a 2008 XKR lunar gray with luxury pkg, 23000 miles, still under factory warranty for $48000. They are going through the auctions for between $41000 to $46000.

I came pretty close to buying a 2008 lunar gray XKR, and it was down your way at Texas Auto in Houston (but it had 27,000 on it, and was a little more expensive). Sounds like you got a good deal!
