Default time for tires, what have you used?

My 07 R coupe has 22,000 miles and original tires. Still tread left, but has some tire road noise.
What tires have you guys used and how do you like them?

I assume you can get by with summer only tires if you locale is Florida? Bridgestone Pontenza are great and don't break the bank.

I just put on Michellin Pilot Super Sports and very pleased. Grip and noise level is superb... Thread life is yet to be seen.

Second choice would have been Potenza pole position. Tons of reviews online comparing the two and quite a few threads in the forum on the subject

Good luck.

Dealer retreaded mine with Continental ExtremeContact DWS all season, max performance. I've nothing to compare them to on this car but they're quiet and comfortable so far. Can't comment on tread life but hoping for close to what you got on your first set! They're great in the rain thus far.

When my PZero's bite the dust, I'm going with the Super Sports. I have read too many good things about them. They are reviewed to be super sticky and a great tire for us in the Southern climates.

Without question the Michellin Pilot Super Sports. Had them on the XJR. S-Type R, and now the XKR.

Tires "owned" in the past (various vehicles)
Firestone 721
Yokohama 008
Falken ???
Bridgestone Turranza
Bridgestone G019
Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Position
Bridgestone RE-11
Bridgestone Blizzak WS70
Bridgestone RE-11 (yes they are that good!)
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S
Bridgestone S-04 (Current)

I'm inclined to agree with the Michelin PS, as the review say they are outstanding. The All Season version however were terrible, and I had to get them off my car quickly.
As the Bridgestone S-04's are extremely competitive with the Michelin PS2, yet $500 less for the set of 4, It is the route I chose....

Default Quietest

OEM Dunlops wore too fast, ok handling 17k miles
Hankooks quietest on this list, good-very good handling 13k miles
Michelin PSS great grip but funny fold feeling on rear outside tire when accelerating out of a turn. (Like the side wall is going under)
Next Mickey Thompson Street Comp
