After delaying the inevitable I finally parked my car up on the hoist and got to work on replacing all four chains, tensioners , guides and all associated gaskets .
Before starting I made sure I had the specific tool for locking the camshafts in position, the tool for applying tension to the exhaust cam (upper chain) and the correct bit for locking the crank in place (done through the crank position sensor opening)
With the kit I purchased a TSUBAKI timing kit although I used most of the components I had to source down another crank seal and primary guides as I wasn't happy with the fit and went OEM .
Feel free to ask any questions Chain making contact with head - primary chain stretched apprx 3-4mm Always use oem parts (TSUBAKI guides just didnt sit correctly on dowl) Cams tensioned , timed and torqued correctly (120nm) Timing cover , valve covers , thermostat and throttle all back on All auxellory fitted , drive belt on
(PS pump a PITA to get back on) Condensor, radiator , ps cooler , trans cooler , top lock and then only fluids left to complete job

Steve - if not too much PIA, can you list parts/PN required and what the specific tool for locking the camshafts in position, the tool for applying tension to the exhaust cam (upper chain) and the correct bit for locking the crank in place (done through the crank position sensor opening) so this can become a sticky?
