Tire not being monitored

Tire not being monitored
I have gotten an error that my front two tires are not being monitored any more, along with a general tire pressure system fault. This popped up while driving last night, cleared when I started driving today, and then popped back up after I was driving for a while today.
1) any danger here? Tires seem properly inflated, but I will double check
2) should I take this to my Indy shop, or the tire store (discount tire) that put new rubber on the can last year
3) any general.ideas about what might be going on?
Apologies for not thoroughly searching the forum, but I am mobile and hoping I can just get a simple answer!
Thanks so much in advance for the help!

2. neither
3. dead/dying sensor batteries
without better info -- no fault of your own -- that's how i would approach it. overreaction costs money needlessly. replace all four sensors at the tire shop, when convenient.

Discount Tire charges $60 for a new sensor in my area when buying new tires. Since you bought new tires from them last year, you should try to persuade them to not charge you for labor to R&R all 4 tires and replace the sensors. I trust Discount Tire to sell new stock TPMS sensors because of their volume of business. Beware of cheap TPMS sensors sold online because they've probably sat on the shelf for years and won't last long. That's why they're cheap.
Your 2011 XK probably has the original TPMS sensors. They have an expected life of 7 years because the batteries are not replaceable. So it's time to replace them.
Note that no programming is required for the new TPMS sensors. Just drive for around 10 minutes and they'll be recognized.

All years of the X150, however not all markets required it, so a car intended for such a market probably doesn’t have it.

You can get build details from your VIN. Click on this link, enter your VIN, and press DECODE. After the report opens click the EQUIPMENT tab.

P.S. Note that the EQUIPMENT tab might not be accurate. For example, it shows that my car came with a spare tire, which is incorrect. It also didn't show that it has Alcon brakes.

+1 on driving more, but also try this:
1. Underinflate all 4 tires to 25 lbs so the TPMS warning illuminates. No need to drive around.
2. Overinflate all 4 tires to 40 lbs. The TPMS warning should turn off. Drive around for a day or two - the warning light should stay off - and then reduce the tire pressures in accordance with the door jamb sticker.
Hopefully, that'll work and you won't have to investigate further. Good luck!
