So Jaguar's official 'fix' is "Inflate tires to +3 psi"
Oh, yay.
Mine is "Total Failure" so not affected by this, but still...

@Cee Jay , I wish I could help you solve this issue with your TPMS. Clearly you’ve done all the right things.
As for the discussion of overinflating... I just don’t get why anyone would purposely do that. Any car I’ve ever driven with overinflated tires, handles horribly.

I bent my tire rim and damaged my tire in the Keys the other day, and limped it home 1100 miles, stopping every couple of hours to fill the tire. Took it to a rim shop yesterday. He is going to fix the rim, and replace my tire, but also he will try to "wake up" the cheap sensors I installed in my tires a year ago. If he can't I will have him replace them. I am hoping that my TPMS problem will be solved after today. I'll let you know how I make out.

My XK is still in the barn for about 3 1/2 months, but I stopped by the tire store for another problem and asked what new TMP's would cost.
$63.50 / tire. The ones on the tires now are 10 years old so I just may do it.

If that's an installed price, including balancing, I'd be leery of the age of those "new" sensors. Be sure to get a written guarantee of their life. Batteries in fresh, new sensors should last at least 7 years.

TPMS sensor prices vary widely for our X150 models on Rock Auto for a reason. The cheaper ones may be new old stock with questionable battery life. Buyer Beware.
