Quick question:
I went to the Fontana site and read the rules-- so do you own a helmet? And I'm not clear on the clothing requirements...

HelmetRequired in all vehicles 13.99 seconds and quicker. Helmet must meet NHRA approved SNELL rating and must have required label on the inside of the helmet. SNELL 2005 will expire on 1-1-2017; SNELL 2010 good until 1-1-2022. SNELL 2015 good until 2017. D.O.T. only helmets are not legal.

Protective Clothing
A NHRA approved jacket meeting SFI Spec 3.2/1is mandatory when running: 13.99 to 10.00 , in a non-factory stock supercharger, non-OEM turbocharger, or nitrous equipped with an OEM or .024 -inch steel firewall vehicle; or 11.49 to 10.00 in a naturally aspirated, OEM supercharged, or OEM turbocharged with full OEM or .024-inch steel firewall vehicle.

Is that R on the grille a 2009 thing? My 2008 portfolio didn't come with it.
...or perhaps the original owner took the R badging off, because when I bought it, it didn't have an R on the trunk either.

13.1 is spot on. My best was 12.8 with perfect conditions.

mine did not have any badges on the front, so i decided to upgrade to the newer style on front and back while at it.

That sounds closer, it may have been 117MPh. It was two years ago, 127 MPH is flying.
