Question TPMS Light

I have a continuous TPMS Light. I've changed out all four sensors and the light is still on. Is there a way to reset the TPMS Light after you've changed all the sensors? I have a 2010 Jaguar XKR with the V-8 Supercharger engine.

jerome41441,

I have moved your post from the General Tech forum to the forum for the X150, which is the Jaguar factory project code for your 2010 XKR. Here you will find knowledgeable owners of similar cars who may be able to offer helpful suggestions.

Cheers,

Don

There are literally hundreds of posts on several links in the XK/XKR (X150) forum. Do a search for TPMS and you will find a whole bunch of information.

What worked for me was to inflate them all to about 10psi over what they should be, drive the car for a day like that, then drop them back down again.

Right, whack them up to 43 and 46 respectively and drive the car around for a bit, the light should go off pretty quick. Then get the tyres back down to normal before your spine shatters. I left mine up for a day.

As Bruce said, I inflated my four tires to about 42psi and was able to reduce to about 40. Below that TPMS warning would return. 20" tires are rated to a maximum of 50psi so it's still well within limits even if the ride is a bit firm.
