I reinstalled the battery in my 2009 XKR Portfolio today after winter storage and noticed a tube with a plastic end fitting, but I'm not able to figure out what the heck it is - can someone help me figure what this is and where it's supposed to teminate? See pics. Much thanks!
I don't see if the battery is the Jaguar OEM unit so if it is a replacement you need to see if it has a vent. Some batteries have it and some don't have this tube type port.
Quite often the battery vent port is blocked off with a plug, which may need to be transferred to the vent port on the opposite side so the hose can be fitted.
Much thanks for your responses... Found the insertion point on the battery and the vent is back in place now.... and the keg-a-rator is working perfectly... beer anyone?
